1. Pigging for drying Nam Con Son 2 (NCS-2) pipelines

  •  On January 5th, 2017 at 05:00 am on the BK-TNG platform, OGPE had cooperated with the Project Management Board, the Petroleum Contracts Management Board started launching BIDI pig
  • At 11:20am on January 13th, 2017, continued to carry out the second pigging and finished at 19:50pm, and then continued to dry the NCS-2 pipelines Phase 1.
  • On January 20th, 2017, the drying of NCS2 - Phase 1 pipelines was completed as the design parameter is -180C.​

2.     Officially launched the Thien Ung (TNG) first gas into the NCS-2 pipelines

  • After a pre-commissioning period, the first gas of Thien Ung field formally launched into the NCS-2 pipelines at 23:45 pm on 19th December 2016, opening a new era for Vietsovpetro in general and OGPE in particular in the exploitation natural gas.

3.     Operate the low-pressure gas collection system and boiler on VSP-02 vessel

  • As per approval of Vietsovpetro Leaders, in order to reduce the fuel burning on board, as well as to minimize environmental pollution, from 04th December 2015 to 15th December 2016, Oil & Gas Production Enterprise has carried out to purchase and install the low- pressure gas collection system and boiler on VSP-02 vessel. On Floating, Storage and Offloading (FSOs), an amount of oil will be aerosolized and be released through the breathing tubes to escape into the air, it causes polluting the environment. With this new installation system, the aerosolized gas from oil will be collected and compressed up to reach the boiler system for the heat treatment makes effective oil treatment..

4.     The first operation of RC-9 – RP-3 gas line on 26th October 2016

  • Before getting first oil from RC-9 platform, associated gas of RC-DM, 4, 5 were collected from Separator V-400 to transport to RP-3 via pipeline route RC-5, DM – RC-4 – RP-3. At that moment, the volume of RC-4/5 gas was quite high and these platforms located at a distance so it made the wellhead pressure at RC-4/5, DM to be higher than working pressure which is designed to transport oil to RP-1. With above mentions, an issue of production affect to RC-4/5, DM would be occurred upon putting RC-9 into operation due to high wellhead pressure. To ensure the effective of oil and gas production, VSP has asked both parties PVN & Zarubezneft for permission to build a pipeline with multi purposes to reduce pressure at RC-4, 5, DM platform.
  • On 26th October, 1974, Oil & Gas Production Enterprise had officially operated the RC-9 - RP-3 pipeline and transported RC-5/9 gas and part of the RC-4 gas, DM to RP-3. The operation of this new pipeline helped reduce the pressure at RC-5/9 about 5 atmospheres which increase the efficiency of oil production.

5.     Re-production of gas/condensate on the Northeast Dragon oil field

  • From September 9th 2016, as the agreement of leaders from Vietnamese and Russian, Oil & Gas Production Enterprise has re-operated the gas/condensate well of Northeast Dragon field which increase production output and complete the plan as expected.

6.     First oil from RC-9 platform at the Dragon field

  • On 6th June 2016, the first oil from RC-9 platform at the Dragon field, the production of RC-9 platform is fewer than expected volume however, it still ensures exploitation output of the Dragon oil field

7.     Shutdown the PPD-30000 water injection platform to save costs

  • At the end of 2015 and the first year of 2016, oil prices in the world deeply dropped, below 30 USD / barrel, it has significantly impacted on Vietsopetro's production activities. In order to save costs, Vietsovpetro has considered stopping PPD -30000 platform (before stopping PPD-30000 platform, Vietsopetro has two water injection platforms are PPD-30000 and PPD-40000 with total capacity of 70,000 m³/ day and night).
  • Vietsovpetro has adjusted water injection flow down (but it still ensures oil exploitation) to make sure that the PPD-40000 platform can provide enough water for the entire system as safe operations.
  • After a trial run period, the PPD-30000 platform was stopped on April 01st 2016 and its result to save the costs.
